A Girl and Her Pearls
“Teaching Our Girls to Value Their Pearls” ™

A Girl and Her Pearls provides valuable strategies for building character and integrity by identifying the pearls of life and it teaches each girl how to protect and cultivate these pearls. Each girl will learn to recognize the value of her pearls, the importance of receiving her pearls and the reward of protecting and keeping her pearls.

Success is more than how much money they will one day make or where they will live. Success is about living with honesty, integrity and dignity. Teaching our girls today to value their pearls will have an impact tomorrow on how they choose to live. It’s time to invest in the girls in your life. The information is life changing.

This program is designed for middle school through college aged girls 12-22.

Available formats include: (contact us for more information or to receive a marketing kit)

Two Hour Workshop This fast-paced format covers the basics of the entire program and is a good fit for time constricted programming; also, a good choice to introduce program to staff, members, etc. Participant guide is optional, but recommended.

Half-Day Seminar This more interactive presentation helps each girl identify with her self image and self perception; increase her self esteem and self worth; invoke self respect; improve her self control; and inspire self reward. Format includes use of participant guide, a display of pearls, certificates and keepsakes for each girl. (Seminar may be split over 2 consecutive days.)

Full Day Seminar This 6-hour presentation (minimum) includes everything in half-day seminar as well as an exercise to illustrate and encourage girls to make good decisions; a 60 minute health education segment delivered by a health care professional; a “do’s and don’ts” fashion show; a covenant & commitment agreement; and a certificate presentation during a candle lit ceremony, which parents and/or caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Six Week Class This is the most effective format for the program, allowing more time for presenter and girls to connect, gain trust and build confidence. This format is delivered in weekly 90 minute sessions that include review of the previous week to preserve continuity and connectivity across topics. There are more hands on activities; interactive games; and lessons and stories to encourage acceptance and affirmation. This format’s candle lit ceremony includes parent and/or caregiver participation, and is used as a graduation or completion ceremony. (Format option to condense into 4 or 5 weeks and session lengths shortened to 60 or 75 minutes.

Reviews of Us

“I wanted to say a couple of things.  First of all, it is wonderful having you at our center.   You are a breath of fresh air and you represent who we all want to be, not just our young ladies but all of us.  You set an amazing example of perseverance and beauty for all of us to admire and follow.  I would love to get some feedback from you on your experience with working with us.  We want great things for all of our youth and the only way, I believe, to go from good to great is getting feedback from the people who are leaders in the programs.”
